BSW, I just did some Google-ing, and found this:

        Gus Miller
        Box 604
        Heyworth, IL 61745
        309-473-2979

Looks to be just south of Bloomington, but I'm having trouble finding a real street address. After some more Google-ing, it looks to maybe be 210 E Main St..? Seems to have motorcycle stuff too, for those into 2-wheels

Met with Gus today at his salvage yard(he gets offended if you call it a junk yard, and will correct you too) very nice man and full of energy for his age!!!!!!!!!!!we had alot of fun listening to the stories he told to us about his life and his awesome collection he has aquired over his life time.
While there his truck would not start and we tried to get it running with no luck, we determined that there was no spark, anyways girlfreind and i couldnt leave him stranded out there so we gave him a ride back to his house and boy does he have a nice collection of old motorcycles. i took a few pics of his bike collection but wount post them so dont ask. he was telling us that the american pickers are trying to get a chance at seeing his stuff but gus wasnt wanting to meet with them yet, so there may just be an episode with gus and the pickers in the future.
i took a few pics at the yard but was busy looking for a cool dash for my bobber truck, my girlfieind has a whole bunch of pics and will get them posted when she gets them on the computer. i scored a 50 merc dash for 150.00 (that was allready pulled out of the car)and a 31 model a trunk lid that is pretty rough for 35.00. he was talking of selling his salvage yard or auctioning all the cars off. i asked him not to crush out and he said he would never do that, he loves his car collection too much to do that.
i didnt see any gmc trucks matter of fact i saw only a couple of 48-52 f trucks and some 70 era fords pretty much stuff from mid 40's-mid 60's cars. lots of buicks, pontiacs and caddy's. the 50 mercury is a 4 door that is not choped, but there is a buick that is chopped there.

                          Awesome

Those pics are killing me! You got any more? He's only 30-40 minutes from me!

Looks like the cars have been sitting there for awhile. Reminds me of a guy in Missouri I grew up near - he literally had 15 tri-year chevys sitting around his yard and 200 other goodies stashed around...

When you first posted this was the very place I thought of. That yard has been a mystery for many years. My mother in law lives less than 5 minutes away. I drove past that place every single day for 9 years. Tried getting ahold of the guy but he said he was not willing to sell and very busy. Sounds like still the case somewhat but maybe a little looser. I am excited to give him a call for I am back that way every few months.
