LOL! Thanks Gene! After a pretty steady run for 2 years then fairly dormant on it for a few months, it's fantastic to be doing something on it again. Started securing my headache rack on the bed frame yesterday. If things flow right I should be able to post up a few more pics this weekend! Gosh this feels good!!!

      • All that progress is addictive! Doesn't take too long to get re-addicted either.

And, we are all junkies waiting for the next "fix" too. LOL!

        • More progress. What better to get the antique rat 1930 cab upright on the frame rails than with an antique rope pulley from way back? When you want it done and you're by yourself- ha. Twas appropriate LOL.

Some time back, I mocked up/tacked up the headache rack....

The last couple days I've been able to find some time to get the headache rack welded out and installed-

Don't remember if I mentioned it or not but I am making a set of gin poles for this beast. Without a doubt I will build a box to hide the new winch that will go with the truck.

Stay tuned! Same rat time, same rat channel!

          • Slowing down like crazy here and I'm not helping so here goes...

Have been working on a truck hoist/crane/swing arm. Probably will use this very rarely but now that I have it who knows?! I can extend it up to pick up something right at 40" tall- motor, trans, rear end, 12 pack, etc... LOL. Looks was the main thing (it totally fits the truck) but as in everything else here it has to be functional.

Using 2x2 tubing I slotted the ends for a piece of flame cut 1/2" plate for mounting and hanging the chain fall. That chain fall I paid a paltry $20 for at an antique store- one of the best scores I've make like that.

More "finished" and detail pics to follow.

            Merry Christmas to ya.

Thank you sir! I am super happy with it for sure.

The bottle (formerly CO2) is going to be part of my air system. I've got a new 3 gallon that came with the compressor (though dimensions tell me it doesn't hold quite 2.5) that is going under the bed. The one you see will be transformed into a "riveted cylinder", painted black, and mounted pretty much where it stands now. Copper and brass plumbing of course!
