Then you guys need to do some rebuilding or tuning. Unless you have the automatic or revised CM400T,you should be able to pull 95 according to track tests. I';m switching my front and rear sprocklet to a 15 front and 37 rear. This should give me pretty much the same low end if not a bit stronger but a higher top end worthy of the freeway. The stock sprockets front and rear are 16 front and 35 rear.

Well,I passed my written M1 endorsement yesterday,so know I just need to pass the riding part, but I'm taking the CHP refresher course since they certify you and the DMV riding test gets waved, and you also get a great discount on your insurance. Also got my Motoflake helmet I ordered and my gloves(I need this ****,mostly for the class)

So,to the people having top end speed issues, here's what I found out: Not enough back pressure due to the exhaust will effect your top end speed, also, gearing needs a little change. If you go up a few teeth on the front sprocket and drop a few teeth on the rear sprocket, get the proper chain length and hook up a snazzy chain tensioner, you can get some good top end and decent bottom end out of your bike.

So,update, the CM400 project is scrapped and the entire bike is going to a new owner in trade for fabrication work on an XS650 that I scored. No pics of the XS as this is a top secret project right now, haha. I know,I just told everyone about it. I just made the deal today, and estimated time of completion for the XS will be by early September. The XS650 will be known as the Lucky **** Special.
