  1. Default Willys truck ???s

so this weekend I picked up a 1950 willys truck. pretty rough but the price was right. question is for the willys gurus, what years interchange as far as body parts go? I seen on craigslist a hood that says 56-64 and looks like my 50. I looked on google but couldn't find if it is the same. anyone out there in KB land know?Click image for larger version.

They didn't change much on the Willis trucks for many years. Pickups and wagons have similar front sheet metal. You will find a lot more pictures if you look for Jeep pickups & wagons between about 46 and up to at least 60. Newer one just got a little wider. Gene

thanks Gene. I know they made them from 46 to 64 and they look the same guess i'll have to take my beat up hood with me to compare.

46-49 are flat front grills and fenders and I believe all the same for the 3 years. 50-64 had pointed grills and fenders. I believe the main sheet metal is the same, but the horizontal bars in the grill change a couple times. I think the hood stays the same except for the emblem/spear changed at some point. Only other main difference between the years is the body trim on the side changes a couple times through the years. You can check out oldwilly's forum for more info.
