Got the seats, and the sound deadener nearly finished. Got the 3 inch lowering springs from JAMCO yesterday and the rebuilt shocks should be here soon. Going to fire the motor for the first time since 2000 tonight. If all goes well there will be a video.

Here is a link to a short clip of it running. Sounds good but has a few minor issues. Trans tail shaft seal is leaking, heater control switch is also leaking, head gasket is seeping a small amount of coolant before the engine is warm, passenger side tappet cover is leaking oil, carb needs rebuilt due to sitting for so long, and lastly the fuel pump is not moving enough fuel so it will need gone through.

Been doing some more work, nothing picture worthy. Rebuilt the carb and fuel pump, removed head and valve covers for gasket replacement, and rigged up a heater control valve. Shocks should be here this week (fingers crossed) so I can button up the brakes and suspension. Dynamat is complete, seats are covered, and the carpet is ready to go in. Just need to run some speaker wire.

Just in case anyone ever needs to know: Oldsmobile tool number J-720 is just a 1/4 inch allen wrench. On that note a quick update. Motor is back together, removed and replaced front shocks (Tool J-720), and springs with rebuilt shocks and 3" lowering springs. Hope to have it back on the ground early next week so I can see the stance.

Finally go the suspension and brakes buttoned up, and got her back on four wheels. Putting the interior in this week, and hopefully the front clip this weekend or early next week.

This weekend I made good progress by getting the carpet in, stereo wiring ran, and the front clip back together. Hopefully starting it back up this week.

    Thumbs up

Last night I made some serious progress. A good chunk of the interior is now installed. I am supposed to drive this thing to Kentucky from Columbus Ohio the weekend before the fourth of July. Fingers crossed that it will be ready.
