Thread: Winter Project

  1. #1

    Default Winter Project

So I have a couple Model A cowls laying around and there was a nice little swap meet this weekend at the Shakedown car show here in Oshkosh at the EAA air venture grounds. We picked up a Model T tub for a great price and in fantastic shape. This will be a winter project for my son for when he is 16. This will give us time to finish it and sort out the bugs before he is ready to drive.

Pretty much the same thing I started with on my rpu, T touring back half, 28-29 four door cowl.

That's a cool little truck. My son is super excited (I am too). This winter may be fun. Garage should be heated this year too.

Looks like a good start on the project.

Thanks we are ahead of the game on this one. We have lots of leftovers from the sedan. Current parts pile include 350/350 combo, 9", Corvair steering box, rear buggy spring, front A axle and spring, '37 spindles, and radiator shell. It won't take much to feel like a car.

Picked up more project parts this weekend. This cowl should fit my son's tub much better than the A cowl. It is much worse than the pics show unfortunately.

That is what I am thinking too. This will fit the early T touring car tub shown above. Looks a bit like yours, huh? Speaking of your car, how you coming on it??

I traded the Nash for a 2010 powerstroke (I need to sell it) The green 23 touring has a distributor rotor that slid down and ate the pickup coil, so it sat this summer. The 72 Cutlass is a great car, cannonball the 16 miles to work. check my album it came out great.
