Hey man... build is coming along well bro.. Sorry to hear about your pops, I know you were trying to get this together quick for his one last ride... Remember he is with you now all the time working on this and riding with you. Keep on pushing strong brother and you will be driving it soon man.
1956 Dodge pickup, and 1931 Ford Tudor w/440 Mopar
Northside of Houston Tx.
Got the 4.3 yanked out of the chassis and put the 3" drop keys in the front end the other day,
MacGyver'd a new fuel sending unit last night. Ordered one of those universal 0-90 ohm units, of course the plate it came with wouldn't work so I had to do some modifying. Slapped on a pickup tube and dropped it in there. Ripped off all the evap crap and just left the pickup and return lines. Going to put the engine/trans in tonight or tomorrow.
Nice looking build so far.
looking darn good. The best way to honor your dads memory is to finish it and drive the wheels off!
Got the motor in last night! Slid right down in the 4.3 mounts after I moved the block plates over. My buddy helped me fab up a transmission mount using the existing crossmember and a piece of leaf spring and some square tubing. Then threw the body on. Got some 33" mud tires I'm getting mounted later this week for the rear.
