    Default My wife's 66 mustang.

Well it's not a rat rod but it is my wife's 66 Mustang and Off Topic is where it shall be.

I started on this car about 1-1.5 years ago. I neglected it during the winter at times as I was building a bug for myself as well. Well I have buckled down and it is nearly done now. It is running a straight 6 with an auto tranny. Perfect for my wife. It had its fair share of rust issues but was never hit so well worth restoring. It will be painted black with teal racing stripes down the center of the car. I will post the pics I took through the build so far. I just finished the primer on Saturday last weekend and will be throwing black on it tomorrow evening and the teal stripes after that. Wish me luck on the paint.

    Enjoy the pics.

Okay guys I have the black on the car. This weekend it will be getting some sparkle green metallic stripes. The Stang isn't perfect but my wife wants her car done. It will be a good daily driver for her that she will be proud of. I wish I could have spent a bit more time on the body work but she wants to drive her Stang.

Thanks CC13. Just started the thread but this build has been a long time coming. Started taking the head off yesterday as the current head has some real hillbilly fixes with a C clamp holding part of the header on. I have a rebuilt head waiting to go on. Hopefully that and the stripes will all be done this weekend.

Sprayed some sparkle green metallic stripes this weekend. All in all not bad for my first time masking and painting stripes on a car. Enjoy.
