I'm needing to get the proportions right on my build....

I'm going for a fenderless 47-52 chevy cab bobber, but post up whatever you've got pics of!

What's your definition of "bobber"? I'm fenderless, but I don't think I fit in the bobber category - atleast by my definition.

    Just curious.

My definition of "Bobber" means that the rear tires must stick out past the bed. Not finished, but this is the complete amount of tin, minus the doors:

    just like a bobber bike...

chop off anything that isn't necessary...

this type of truck just kinda got that name in the last few years, and it stuck because nobody had seen them before or knew what to call them. the rudy truck was the genesis, I think.

basically a fenderless hot rod, made from a truck cab, with a short bed, or no bed at all.

(nowadays a first time hot rodder will use a vintage truck cab because all the other old tin is too expensive, or hard to find)

it just differentiates between a full fendered truck on an s10 frame or something, and a hot rod made from a truck cab.

I also usually associate seeing a traditional hot rod front suspension on them, not IFS or ugly truck suspension parts or anything.

    no offense anybody!

there's a great thread on the h.Ambb about bobbers! those grumpy aSSholes are beside themselves! LOL!
