    Default Awd vehicles with frames

What are a list of some vehicles that have frames, not subframes, and run a AWD setup .. i know astro vans and safari vans run awd, and im pretty sure they have frames as being trucks.

Future plan is to make an awd high suspension rat truck running a sbc

Lincoln Navigator??? i think it was body over frame... and i know it was awd... almost tipped it over a couple times lol
If you don't have time to do it right the first time, when will you have time to do it over?

    Default AWD & 4x4

I'm in the process of using an Isuzu Trooper frame under my newest 41 Chevy Crusty Cruiser. This 93 Isuzu Trooper uses a real nice frame, with adjustable torsion bar front suspension and coil springs in the rear, along with 4 wheel disc brakes. Take a look. This Isuzu was a freebie, wreck/rollover. There is lots of room for small block Chevy with factory exhaust.
Believe it or not, Honda Passport SUV are built by Isuzu..........
Lots of possibilities with this combination.

Ford explorers. I have a 96 awd with a 302 automatic 3.73 lockers front and back from the factory. That truck is sweet. It is a full frame. Look at 98 and up rangers, some are 4wd.

Any 4wd truck frame. Swap in an AWD transfer case. The transfercase from the Astro was also in all of the Bravada's. The fullsize vans and trucks have an AWD case available to.
Bell tech sells torsion bar keys to lower s-10 4wd's.

My Durango is AWD, so its transfercase could be used behind any Dodge application. Dakota frame, etc.

AWD can be driven on hard surfaces (streets and such) because AWD uses some type center differential to allow the front axle to turn a different speed from the rear axle so you can turn.

4WD doesn't have a center differential and can't be used on hard surfaces.

Cars are usually AWD. Trucks are usually 4WD. SUVs can be either or sometimes both.

If I am not mistaken, the older Bravadas were AWD

AWD has an OPEN differential in the transfercase.
    4WD is a locked differential.
The Open diff allows the front axle and rear axle to rotate at different speeds for corners.
A locked differential has the front and rear moving at the same speed or ratio.

Subaru's and such use something different because of the use of manual transmissions. AWD truck transfercases can not use manual transmissions.
