    Default 83 ranger rat rod

my uncle wanted to build a rat rod but couldnt find or afford and old body. So he bought an 83 long bed ranger and built one. He cut about 30'' off the frame, moved the cab and motor/trans back about 20'', and channeled the cab down. It has a lincoln grille, 32 ford headlights, a mid 80s chevy van visor, and lakepipes made out of driveshafts, and he built it for just 700 bucks.

Looks good !! Like I've always said , " To each his own ". Never worry what others think . Always do what ya want and always think outside the box. DARE TO BE DIFFERENT!! I like your truck because its not the same old cookie cutter thing. I might even build one myself just to be HATED!!

I agree with Rev for the most part, but at least it's not an S-10!!!!!

Seriously we need a place to put all the odd-ball stuff, let's face it, it's not gonna stop, even after someone gets flamed, it just happens again...and again.

I think it's a great IDEA. That being said...Im not the biggest fan of the ranger suspension and hood, hood sides etc. Great idea tho. $700 is pretty cheap. Whats it got for an engine?

Thats alot of negative feedback..You must have done something right!! I think its kinda cool. You know it would be a good platform to transplant a vintage cab to..
