cool car! not what i'm looking for, but still cool. heres what i want. i need a body that is flat in the back. i have a frankland quick change rear i want to use on this project and want to showcase the rear. therefore i want the rear to be wide open behind the cab/body. i'm looking for a pickup or a car with no trunk. and it must be older than 49 so i can run fenderless in pa. thanks steel for the pics. ps why dont you do up that car? its way cool.

SCORE! a man replied to my ad here and said he has some old stuff, come look. turns out he lives 8 miles from my shop. so i rushed over. long story short hes got some cool stuff. alot of 50's and 50's chevy truck stuff, 2 postal jeeps, a couple 60's international flatbeds. also tons of old farm equipment. well anyway the truck he wanted to sell is a 47 gmc 1/2 ton pickup. its rough, but enough. only major chunk missing is the grille bars. long story short, after exchanging 100 dollars, its mine. he also has a 1940 big dually chevy truck, missing the front clip. he said a bud expressed interest in it some time ago but hasnt been back since. he said he'll let me know about that one tomorrow.

Pete So did you get the 40 Chevy.:) duallys have the same size cab. I just had two trucks come in from Colorado a 40 Chevy pu and a 46 International. International has a 4 inch chop. I still have a 46 Chevy pu in KY I have to get it has a 4inch chop also. Dam weather is keeping me from getting it. I think I know where a 40 Ford cab is some one told me about it yesterday. I should go and look at it. Its right here in Frederick.

Pete not sure yet if any will be for sale,:) I am snatching up any and all cabs I can get my hands on, seeing as they are so hard to find here on the east coast in fair condition. Right now I have a rolling chassis 2x3 frame waiting for that cab out of KY to go on it

wow! just finished the deal on 3 1947 international pickup trucks. all 3 are complete trucks. one is very nice, one is scruffy, one is best described as a parts truck. the b$%%h is i cant go get them until the snow clears. my trailer is burried under a huge snow mountain, and these trucks are pretty much buried now too. so as soon as the snow melts i'll be making 3 160 mile round trips to go get them. the truck thats the nicest had the doors lettered when it was new and it can still be easily read. the phone number is .....19-W yup thats the entire phone number, lol. so now i have 4 trucks. the chevy and these 3 cornbinders. guess i have enough old iron now to keep me busy awhile. i'll more than likely have to sell one of the trucks to recuperate some of the money i spent on them.
