Hi, I am new to the board and new the "rat rod" craze. I just bought a 36 chevy low roof cab truck that I plan to rat rod. I am doing some scale drawings (in autocad) to see how much to chop it and possibly lengthen the cab to get the proportions just right. and to get my 6'2" frame in it. I need a measurement of the door length at the top reveal line to set the scale of my drawing. Does anyone have a 36-39? chevy truck door or truck they could measure for me? I won't be able to pick my truck up for a few weeks as the snow needs to melt around it. If someone could help me out I would really appreciate it.
I really like the rudy style pick-ups and especially the red oxide primered 37 ford with the logo "canada customs and hot rods" painted on the side. I plan to rudyize the 36 chevy low roof cab truck using the 36 chevy grille, chevy frame, ford dropped axles with hairpins. Install a 348 with a 3x2 intake and carbs. Some headers with cut-outs for exhaust. Some skinny 16" tires and rims. As well as a quickchange diff (I have a line on one).
