So ya, introductions... My name is Jon... I live in the San Fernando Valley, CA.
I only have a very limited knowledge of cars, increasing ever so slowly. I'm going to be taking an Auto shop class focused on engine building. Oh along with that, I'm a sophomore in college, and will be transferring up to Oregon Institute of Technology next fall. So if there are any gear heads in the Klamath Falls area, I would love to do something geared towards cars. Just recently developed a stronger interest in rat rods because they would be more accessible to someone my age with my budget range. I only have a daily driver right now, Scion XB. I've picture what that thing would be like dropped, with an extended front end to fit a fat v8. But that still wouldn't be the traditional rat rod look I was interested in. Anyway, I'm here trying to see what I can do to expand my knowledge about cars and mechanics, even though I know the best way is through practice, which I unfortunately can not afford to do right now. But, I will be there soon. Looking forward to some heated hot rod discussion.
