thanks for all the feedback guys! sorry i havent had a chance to log in for a while.. but yes i do build all of my frames i use a little harbor freight tubing bender and a little lincoln wirefeed welder.. i use 1"od tubing for the frame and 1 1/2" for the backbone or down tube on single down set ups.. its a fun hobby and rather cheap, once you build one youll want to keep going its addicting..hahhaha
and yeah ill see if i can dig out some recent pics of the springer bike

and all my bikes use a centrifical clutch and most use a jackshaft so i can change my gearing rather easily all my bikes do anywhere from 45mph to 75mph my fastest one did 80 which had a jr drager engine with a salsbury clutch that ran on alcohol

hey minibikedemon i would love some information re your gearing & jackshift to poss achive 65/75 mph im thinking of using a diesel motor (10-13 hp) running a 10inch back wheel maybee with a 400x10 tyre, im going to transplant this into a vespa frame ( with the same modifications as my vespa in the pic above,, backend removed & new subframe made up ) i see from your pics you run the centrafugal drive to another gear then run that gear to the back wheel .i will use a similar set up but i dont know how to calculate the gearing & im not realy sure what a jackshift is . id realy apreciate some close up pics of that if poss thanks man
ps awsome fab work on your frames etc ive already posted a pic of one of your bikes on a scooter forum for fabricators & tuners all the guys there were impressed

here try this out http://compgoparts.com/TechnicalResources/JackshaftRatioCalculator.asp
on a diesel engine ide say to gear it pretty high cause it would have alot of torque but not alot of rpm

Sick! We didn't have mini bikes like those in my day, and I'm not that old! I enjoyed the hell raising more than the riding half the time.
