my intro

Howdy from the other Woodstock , as in Ga. been lurking, that seems to be the approach, anyway. Liking the cars and having some good laughs..

About me not much to say, drive a 34 no fenders of course, all the time, working on finishing a 32 truck for my wife to raise hell in.
Our own 2 car, car club if you will, Have fiends with cars from nice too rust, one in this little group is a pro jet car driver, his hair always looks like he is at 300mph. All the cars are built by the owner drivers. Like this hobby and have been playing in it going back to the late 60s.

My only regret was I did not do this professionally.

Ok here are few shots of the truck I am completing for my wife , it was a junker, cab,box,4-doors, to get 2, tailgate, un-boxed frame and a dash, all dented, rust with cancer, the top look like the surface of the moon. you got the idea and can guess what it looked like.

Better now, but it also has over-spray here and there , with a hint of orange peel . I am very pleased with the results cause the total build was done in house by a 1 man band ... me

Going down to the great hall of summit today to pick up the trany , exciting! will have a marriage this week of a 67, 327 updated with a set of vortex heads and a load of other machine work , blueprint, balance, you know the little things that make a motor run . Got specs, 351 hp and 370 torque @ 5700, that is dyno info not a guess.

Should (the plan anyway) be street-able this spring, of course as soon as the headers are bolted up it will be leak checked with a drive through the hood .... and yes before mufflers/side pipes.... enough enjoy the shots

can you spot the harley inspired ignition switch?

thank you , I am on vacation this week so I got that quality time thing happening in the old garage. This is the best part of the building process for sure.

Diamond plate, it has to be used sparingly otherwise it gets tired real fast ... paint oh well when you start out looking like this pic of my parts pile, you have to at least try to make it better ...
Got the parts late 04 dec the 12, the parts in the shots were some what cleaned up, this car was totally built in my home, has never had one thing farmed out, so this is an example of a real home build I am happy to say.
Putting paint on, I do get a kick out of your comment and enjoy the humor behind it, not painting is a lazy mans way out, not putting the rust look down, it just makes a car build look .... incomplete and one that is basically always a project car and that is ok too. I build for me and am just passing along ideas for reference , to incourge others to get off the couch turn OFF that f***ing tv and work on your dream. ... That is the only way to realize it.
