I'll be taking my buddies '61 Olds. F-85 Wagon. I'm a rat-rod owner wannabe... for now.

I'm working on convincing the misses to letting me get an old '30-50's truck to chop. :rolleyes:

I'm gonna take an assload of pics tomorrow, should be a really nice day.

Turned out to be a really good show. Seemed like they had a few hundred cars there with bands, good brisket sandwiches, turkey on stick, etc.
Weather was kick ass too, mid 70's & sunny.

And... I would forget my freakin camera when we got to the show. I went to the local grocery store & got a disposal digital camera... thing only takes 27 pics! :confused: I'm so spoiled with being able to take hundreds of pics... 27 went fast. I'll get some posted up on this thread later.

The Shark was awesome Spider. I wasn't sure which guy there was you, but I definately knew which car was yours. My ol' lady really digged it. :D

Those are some great shots man. Thanks for posting them.

The best thing about the show for me was that it convinced my wife to let me build a hot/rat rod!

Before the show she was pretty much against it. We borrowed my buddies '61 Olds F-85 to take up there & she loved the hell out if. Then when we got there she loved looking at all of the cars.

Funny, we had been to a car show once before that was at Baby Dolls in Dallas... was mostly new mustangs, vipers, porches, etc. & she didn't care for it much & was ready to go soon. The pistons/paint show facinated her because everyone really puts so much personalization into their rides.

We made a deal though, I'm going to wait till after we're remodeling our house. We're redoing all of the flooring, painting most of the rooms, and changing most of the elect. fixtures.

I can't wait, think I'm gonna go lay some tile. :)




BTW, the truck in the 3nd pic on the 10:07 AM post was freakin nasteeee. :eek:

Congrats on getting to build a new ride. My Dad went to the show with me and now he is hooked! He talking about us building him one together.
