Looking for pics of builds using the F-1 or F-2 chassis, stock or modified. Thinking of picking a '48 up, and wanting to see what can be done using the stock chassis..Thanks.

Not really a "project" but it's a few pics of some F1 bones sitting in my back yard.

Frame looks like it'd be super easy to Z...

That '48 I was talking about is a F2..has the dual wheels in the back..which I would lose...the truck runs...has a Flatty...just rebuilt 6k miles ago...frame is a short wheel-base...which doesn't matter because it would probably get shortened anyway, were I to Z it in the rear. Guy wants $1,000 for it...

A running 8BA flat-motor is hard to come by and very desireable-there are guys who would pay a grand just for the motor. If the cab's not toast, it's a good start to a cool rod. Where are you located?

The cab is in great shape with the exception of a little rot in the floors..no big deal at all. Thinking about maybe doing the frame underslung?...I'm working on a low budget...but I figure if I can figure out a way to use this stock frame...hell, I have about 90% of what i'll need....frame, cab, drivetrain...already have straight axle front end...I'd like to do a suicide setup on it..which won't cost that much...it's just the rear of the frame that i'd have to figure out...could probably swap the dual rear that's in it now for a different rear..maybe a 9"...or convert the one that's in it from dual 8 lug..to single 5 lug...

Oh, and i'm located in the southern part of West Virginia
